September 1, 2017, Sofia – From 8 to 11 November 2017, MULTIVAC Bulgaria EOOD will take part in the XXIVth edition of the exhibition “Meatmania” (Hall 1, booth 1C5), held at Inter Expo Center Sofia. The booth of the company will exhibit packaging and processing solutions for the meat and other food and drink industries. TVI, which is now mainly owned by MULTIVAC, will be presented with a GMS 520 cutting system, successor to the GMS 500.
Packing in trays
In the field of packaging in trays, the innovation to be presented by MULTIVAC Bulgaria is the new G 700 machine. It had its premiere at Interpack 2017, the second presentation of the machine is in Bulgaria. Due to the increased demand for so-called convenience foods – antipasta, semi-finished products, ready-made salads and various types of freshly cut fruits and vegetables, also dietary and healthy in all price sectors – which is constantly rising, MULTIVAC offers an automatic solution for packing in segmented trays of semi-prepared foods, etc.
For G 700, the type of packaging is chosen according to the product – with or without modified gas environment. In the manufacture of modified gas packings, the G 700 uses gas to clean trays. There is no requirement for them to be air-evacuated. This means that the packaging process is more careful and can also be used for more delicate products. It is therefore possible to pack reliably crumbly products or ready-made foods containing crumbly ingredients, as well as products with hot filling. G 700 reaches up to 15 cycles per minute in MAP. If not wrapped in MAP, it reaches 18 cycles per minute.
Besides plastic trays, the G 700 can also work with aluminum or cardboard trays, as well as with multi-compartment and multi-compartment trays. The height of the tray is a maximum 110 mm. This tray sealer has an accurate and fast system for transporting trays to ensure they are carefully moved. Its tools are replaced change easily, comfortably and quickly.
As to charging and the intake conveyor for the trays, the G 700 can be equipped with a MULTIVAC conveyer system – MBS – or with a chain conveyor system at the input, or to integrate a suitable denester. The MULTIVAC G 700 is equipped with an intuitive interface ensuring a high level of process reliability and ergonomic control.
Precise cutting of fresh meat by TVI
The GMS 520 is a cutting machine for fresh cutlets, steaks and various other small meat pieces with or without bone. It cuts up to 4 pieces per second and the time for formatting is minimized. When using the same raw material, the machine can be set to cut a certain amount of the meat in one way, and the rest in a different way. The GMS 520 accurately weighs and shapes each piece of meat in order to achieve the maximum exact final weight of the package for subsequent packing tasks. The GMS 520 integrates easily into existing packing lines. The cutting machine has intuitive software with an option for minimal amount of waste. Another very important advantage of the GMS 520 is that it occupies a small production area and has a stable stainless-steel structure.
