The first latte art competition in Bulgaria will take place on 8 and 9 November 2018 in Sofia, during the exhibition INTERFOOD & DRINK at Inter Expo Center.
The competition is under the auspices of the SCA (Specialty Coffee Association).
The jury members of the first competition will be the well-known professional Dario Charlantini and Branislav Beronia from SCA. The competition will be held according to the standards and rules of SCA, with the official for 2018 coffee machines-Victoria Arduino Black Eagle and Mythos coffee grinder.
The selection of the best professional baristas will be done in two stages:
First day (08.11) – Selection phase for all competitors
Each participant must present 2 identical Free-pour lattes and 2 identical designer’s lattes – a total of 4 drinks.
2nd Day (09.11) – Final phase
At this phase contestants are supposed to prepare a total of 6 drinks: 2 identical free-pour lattes (option 1), 2 identical free-pour lattes (option 2) and 2 identical designer’s lattes, with allocated 5 minutes preparation time and a 10 minutes presentation.
