Well-known sommeliers arrive in the capital
Wine and senses are today’s focus. Because in Sofia we can taste numerous wines from Bulgaria and abroad. This will happen at Inter Expo Center under the attentive guidance of distinguished sommeliers.
In fact, His Majesty the Wine is our focus from 6 to 9 November. Because the exhibitions of MEATMANIA, WORLD OF MILK, BULPEK, SALON OF WINE, INTERFOOD & DRINK and #RETAIL SHOW are to be held in the International Exhibition Center.
Wines from near and far in Hall number 6
The tasting technique today is going to be presented to us by the Italian sommelier Maurizio Ferreri. He will give some advice on how to choose the right wine glass and how to serve your favorite drink.
The master class with Zhivko Enchev will be held in the tasting area of the exhibition Hall 6. The sommelier of 2017 will focus our attention on bread, wine and chocolate. Later on the same day he will present the wines of North and North-Western Bulgaria. Zhivko Enchev will reveal the secrets of tempting combinations between wine and different types of white and yellow cheeses.
The project “Wine, music and chocolate” will be presented to us by Radi Stambolov and Tanyo Tanev. This venture is an innovative experience bringing together the love for wine, the sweetness of chocolate, music and the passion for discovery.
Senses without borders
“Senses without borders” is the name of the new event platform, which from this year shall be launched within the World of wine exhibition. Filled with an exclusive tasting program, its culmination will be tonight. A night walk with wine tasting, chocolate and something else … will be held from 7.00 p.m. to 10.00 p.m.
Coffee Competitions
The exhibitions are the arena also of two world-class coffee competitions.
The Bulgarian Barista Championship grabs the attention. For the fourth consecutive year the challenge is made by Baristo. In the framework of the vibrant competition, baristas from all over the country, dedicated to the preparation of the perfect espresso and cappuccino, shall face the challenge to prove their capacities in a competition to win the title of the “Barista Champion of Bulgaria”. The big winner will represent our country at the world Finals in Italy.
For the second consecutive year at Inter Expo Center “Latte Art Championship” attracts the attention of keen lovers of the drink. The National Latte Art Championship is held under the auspices of SCA and World Coffee Events. The winner in the competition will be entitled to present Bulgaria at the World Latte Art Championship in Poland in 2020.
And in parallel with everything mentioned so far, the taste buds will fall into the magic of the IV International Pizza Championship. The tempting event is organized by the Bulgarian Pizza Makers’ Association.
