For 5 years now, Hrancoop has been bringing the cooperative model back to life, through which small producers of pure food not only survive, but develop extremely fast and successfully. The first farmers’ market was launched on 21st September 2013 at the empty Rimska Stena market in Sofia. It started with only three producers, two years later their number grew to 30, and five years later – over 120. Hrancoop – Sofia successfully disseminated its model in other cities where farmers’ markets are held – Bourgas, Varna, Dobrich, Haskovo and Bankya.
